About the Role

This is a new role reporting to the Finance Manager. The Management Accountant will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial management reporting and in-depth analysis of cost drivers across Power Electronics Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Director, Finance & Legal and Finance Manager to provide detailed management reporting and cost driver analysis.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis and month-end reporting/year end reporting as part of the team effort.
  • Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and ongoing performance tracking.
  • Engage with operations regarding cost analysis, including stock management, inventory accuracy, and workforce productivity.
  • Maintain and improve management accounting reporting templates across multiple departments.
  • Assist with financial and operational reporting (periodic and ad-hoc).
  • Reconcile inter-company transactions and ensure integrity across group accounts.
  • Apply internal control knowledge to improve finance processes and strengthen corporate governance, including business process mapping.
  • Collaborate with our finance teams both in Australia and Spain to ensure streamlined, best-practice finance processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA/CA qualified or working towards certification (preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated experience in management accounting, reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficient in accounting systems and Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and locations.
