Your new role
CMI Toyota is looking for its next Automotive Technical/Apprentice Trainer, and that could be you Working with staff across our sites but predominantly based at our Technical Training Centre at West Terrace, you will provide informed and knowledgeable training to our apprentices and broader staff group. This role is ideal for an experienced technician looking for their next challenge, who is passionate about leading and mentoring others and who thrives in supporting the success of the next generation of automotive experts.

What you'll be doing
- Planning and facilitating technical training for apprentices and other staff
- Engaging with learners and leaders across the business to understand training needs
- Providing people-centred, constructive feedback and additional support as required to trainees
- Developing and maintaining the training aids and resources for the Technical Training Centre
- Completing necessary administrative work related to training delivery
- Maintaining a keen focus on embedding safety into all training as CMI Toyota's number one value
About you
To help you achieve success in this role, ideally you'll demonstrate:
- Prior experience in training and/or mentoring, or a visible passion to transition into this line of work
- Light Vehicle Automotive Technician trade certificate with extensive post-trade experience
- Auto Electrical and Toyota Certifications desirable
- A people-first mindset with an ability to be empathetic and understanding of individual needs
- Exceptional communication and relationship building skills with people at all levels
- A good attention to detail, sense of organisation, and ability to manage time in a busy role
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent), or willing to obtain
- Possession of a current valid driver's license
