As an ICT Support Officer you will:

  • Respond to inquiries from users, identify and resolve technical problems or malfunctions with software, hardware, system configurations or network systems.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware components like computers, printers, routers, switches, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software applications, operating systems, and other programs.
  • Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting network connections, ensuring connectivity, and resolving network-related issues such as internet connectivity problems or LAN/WAN issues.
  • Assist in routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, system checks, and equipment inventory management.
  • Take an active role in maintaining and improving efficient use of applications and equipment.
  • Providing remote assistance via phone, email, or chat to troubleshoot issues or guide users through problem-solving steps.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in information technology, programming or business.
  • A track record of experience in this role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for working in a tight-knit team
  • Excellent time management and an ability to work to deadlines
  • The drive to continue learning in the field
