About us

JBD has been detailing structural steel and precast panels for over 28 years with our head office located here on the Sunshine Coast, Qld. We take pride in delivering high level steel and concrete detailing to our clients. We've enjoyed working with a wide variety of clients, some for over 20 years. We complete projects of all sizes across Australia, we've also completed projects in Malaysia, New Zealand and Italy

Qualifications & experience

  • Due to an increase in projects we are offering two roles, Steel detailer and Concrete Panel detailer. The applicants we are looking for will be highly skilled at steel (and/or) concrete panel detailing. You will be reliable, self motivated, able to achieve realistic deadlines and be a team player. We are offering an office based role where you can learn from and mentor others.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of steel detailing experience is required.
  • Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required.
  • 1-2 years of experience supervising others is required for team leadership responsibilities.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Undertake 3D Tekla modelling of a wide range of structures following well established company methods and standards, ensuring projects are completed accurately and within budget
  • Previous Tekla software experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
  • The team leader role will suit someone who has considerable detailing experience and is able to lead others to sustainable results. We have (3) other team leaders to provide support and guidance as required.
