We have an opening in Sydney for a Business Continuity Analyst to help develop, execute, & oversee our Business Continuity Management (BCM) program. Reporting to the Business Continuity Manager (BCM) within the Security & Control department, you will play a key role safeguarding our enterprise & branches across Australia & New Zealand. Your ability to build strong relationships will be essential as you collaborate with diverse teams across the bank.

Top Role Accountabilities:
  • Champion Business Continuity awareness & act as SME across the bank
  • Assisting with the implementation of the Business Continuity Management Policy & standards
  • Contributing to the completion & assurance of Business Impact Analysis (BIAs) & Business Continuity Plans (BCPs)
  • Supporting the Business Continuity team in planning & executing exercises at Business Unit & Enterprise level
  • Maintaining key indicators for critical systems & monitoring the business continuity risk in accordance with the Risk Control Framework
  • Ensuring IT systems resilience by monitoring IT Disaster Recovery (DR) testing outcomes; collaborating with IT teams to maintain effective plans; & integrating results into BCM reporting
  • Assessing & monitoring third-party continuity plans to safeguard operations
  • Delivering continuous improvement initiatives through lessons learned & industry trends
To be successful you will have:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in Business Continuity / Resilience Management
  • Exposure to operations, production or technology environment within the financial services industry
  • An understanding of regulatory frameworks such as CPS230
  • Excellent written, verbal & interpersonal skills
  • An ability to develop, build & maintain relationships with internal clients & external suppliers
  • Confidence to present to business stakeholders in an engaging way
  • An ability to learn & adapt in a fast-changing environment
  • Exposure to a Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) system highly regarded
  • A Certificate of BCI or equivalent relevant industry qualification highly regarded
