Senior Hairdresser

We are on the look out for a qualified and passionate Hairdresser (Senior Stylist) who loves to keep up to date with current trends and techniques and is looking for a new hair home. We know how much of your life you spend at work, which why it's so important to us that BL is somewhere you look forward to coming to everyday. Ideally we are looking for someone who is happy with 3-4 days per week (with at least one late night). Need less or need more, we'd still be open for a conversation - we aspire to build our team's roster around their life and/or family commitments. 

• Above award wages, retail incentives, PLUS percentage bonuses of takings weekly once minimum threshold is reached
• Ongoing scheduled and paid training
• Flexible and consistent hours. We only trade Monday-Friday every week with 2 x Late Night Trades (so you can design your roster to fit your lifestyle and cram your hours into less days). Yes, that also means NO WEEKEND WORK.
• Two weeks salon closed for Christmas and New Year
• Flexible start date - next week or next year
• One week onboarding, models and shadowing for seamless transition to our salon
• Work with high performing and environmentally friendly brands (Keune)
• Cost price retail products, your hair taken care of during salon hours team hair night, salon closure after Christmas (until the second week of January), no work on public holidays

• You are confident in current colour, cutting and styling techniques. Our client base is predominantly blondes and lived in and dimensional brunettes - so having a thorough understanding of these looks is a must
• We'd love to have you join us if you consider yourself to be reliable, punctual, motivated, a team player and absolutely a queen or king of time management
• You find learning new techniques exciting and love extending your knowledge in this innovative industry
• You consider the idea of personal growth invigorating and are always looking at ways to improve
• You're not only comfortable at making expert recommendations to clients on products but you excel at it because you know how important it is for them to be able to maintain their look at home
• You appreciate the importance social media plays to the overall success of a salon
• You love being surrounded by an easy going team who love to see each other success and thrive in their roles
• Have at least 5 years qualified post-apprenticeship experience
• You genuinely love what you do and live for the buzz you get after seeing a client bounce out the door more in love and confident with themselves because of what you created. Is there really anything quite like that feeling?
