About the Role
Due to a new intake in our Creative Arts program at SCCP, we are recruiting an Arts Mentor to support participants to engage in meaningful, creative, and skills-building activities.
This position blends creative arts mentoring with general support worker duties, offering a dynamic role for someone who is passionate, adaptable, and able to work independently.
You will:
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group creative arts supports at SCCP Maitland
- Provide general support work 1–2 days per week (non-arts related) at SCCP
- Support participants in community settings where required
- Work independently while maintaining professional boundaries and quality support delivery
- Follow tailored support plans and promote participant choice and control
About You
We're seeking someone who:
- Actively practices creative arts (e.g., visual art, painting, drawing, textiles, ceramics, mixed media, etc.)
- Has experience supporting people with disability or in community-based programs
- Can work confidently and independently
- Is flexible to deliver both arts and general support worker duties
- Holds high standards of professionalism, safety, and participant engagement
Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Valid Driver's Licence
- Ability to work 24 hours per week consistently
