What you'll do:
As a Senior Associate in the Investments team, you will immerse yourself in a dynamic environment where your analytical acumen and interpersonal skills are essential for success. Your day-to-day activities will involve evaluating new investment proposals using advanced financial modelling techniques while collaborating with experienced professionals across various disciplines. You will be entrusted with supporting due diligence efforts on complex transactions spanning multiple industries-ensuring every recommendation is underpinned by sound judgement and meticulous attention to detail. By preparing compelling presentations for decision-makers and engaging in meaningful industry research, you will help shape strategic investment decisions that drive national progress. - Develop comprehensive financial models to evaluate potential returns and risks associated with new investment opportunities, ensuring accuracy through rigorous sensitivity analysis and oversight of junior team members' outputs.
- Assist in all aspects of due diligence for prospective investments-including commercial, financial, legal, tax, technical, and insurance considerations-to inform robust risk/return analyses.
- Prepare clear and persuasive investment recommendations for presentation to the Investment Committee and assist in drafting board papers required for investment approval processes.
- Undertake thorough industry research and market analysis to identify emerging targets and opportunities aligned with strategic growth priorities.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as legal, compliance, and tax departments to ensure seamless execution of transactions from inception through completion.
- Support senior team members in managing multiple concurrent projects while maintaining high standards of analytical rigour and stakeholder communication.
- Contribute proactively to ad hoc tasks as needed to advance the objectives of the Investments Team and respond flexibly to evolving business needs.
- Foster positive relationships with internal colleagues and external partners by demonstrating a collaborative approach throughout all stages of the investment process.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Engineering from a reputable tertiary institution is required for this position.
- Demonstrated excellence in financial analysis with proven ability to interrogate complex financial models for both project-specific and corporate investments.
- A minimum of 4-8 years' relevant experience gained within investment banking, financial advisory, investment management, private equity, project finance or actuarial roles.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modelling combined with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities; attention to detail is paramount along with sound commercial judgement.
- Comprehensive understanding of valuation methodologies including discounted cash flow (DCF) and net present value (NPV) calculations.
- Solid grasp of key tax considerations as well as legal and compliance matters relevant to large-scale investments.
- Proven track record in analysing problems or risks associated with transactions and recommending prudent solutions that balance opportunity with responsibility.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills enabling you to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences including senior leadership teams.
- Collaborative mindset with demonstrated ability to build positive relationships across internal teams as well as external stakeholders such as advisors or partners.
