We are seeking an experienced Business Consultant to join our team, driving process improvements, developing strategies, and leading complex system integration projects. Key Responsibilities:

The Business Consultant will have the following key responsibilities, partnering with our clients across the Rail sector in Australia:

  • Strategic Development & Improvement: Collaborate on creating objectives, strategies, and plans tailored to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency and continuous improvement methods in rail infrastructure projects.

  • Implementation Leadership: Project manage approved recommendations, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions while providing coaching and guidance to teams.

  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers and consultants to foster professional growth, collaboration, and a high-performance culture.

  • System Integration Expertise: Design and implement complex system integration solutions, ensuring seamless interoperability across technologies such as signalling systems, communication networks, and rolling stock.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and regulatory bodies, while representing the organisation at industry events.

What You'll Bring:

The successful candidate for the Business Consultant role will hold the following qualifications and skillset:

  • 15 years of experience in management consulting, ideally within rail infrastructure, and an in depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards

  • A Masters Degree in business administration, project management, engineering, or a related field

  • Relevant certifications in project management or change management

  • Proven success in project management and leading large-scale, complex system improvement and implementation initiatives

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with experience in managing high-performing teams.
