About Us:

The Purple Hands Foundation is the charitable arm of the Fremantle Football Club. We deliver youth engagement programs for young people who are at risk or experiencing disadvantage, uniquely delivered through sport. Our aim is to create connected WA communities where young people thrive with a strong sense of belonging and purpose.

The Role:

The Youth Development Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering programs that create real change for young people facing significant challenges. We are seeking someone who brings expertise and a genuine passion for supporting young people who may not otherwise receive the opportunities they deserve.

As we continue to grow, you will have the opportunity to influence the direction of our education programs, embedding your insights and experience into initiatives that connect with young people and transform lives. You will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of our in-school and after school programs with a focus on impact, efficiency, and long-term sustainability, ensuring no young person is left behind.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify engagement needs and opportunities for young people.
  • Develop culturally safe and inclusive youth engagement programs, aligned with child safety policies.
  • Oversee program delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Facilitate programs as required, particularly during launches or to cover facilitator absences.
  • Establish program metrics and key performance indicators to measure success.
  • Regularly evaluate program outcomes and gather feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the General Manager in preparing funding applications aligned with program objectives.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient resource use.
Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in education, teaching, or training (relevant to working with youth) or a related discipline including community services, youth work or human services.
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in developing and delivering youth programs.
  • Experience facilitating or coaching groups of young people, including those experiencing disadvantage or disengagement.
  • Strong organisational, time management, and project delivery skills.
