Auspac Steel Pty Ltd was established in early 2013 and has been servicing our customers' needs for steel profiling with our state-of-the-art High Definition Plasma Technology and the latest NC Profiling System processing and profiling steel plates. Deputy General Manager-Engineering

Auspac Steel is looking for a Deputy General Manager-Engineering, who is responsible for the company's overall engineering and technical operations and management, including planning, organising, directing, controlling, and coordinating engineering and technical activities, to ensures that engineering outcomes align with the company's objectives, timelines, and budget, covering areas such as design, production, operations, and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Develop engineering policies, objectives, and annual plans in line with the company's medium- to long-term development plan set by the Board of Directors, to support the overall business strategy.

· Plan, recruit, and manage engineering and technical teams and personnel; allocate tasks, monitor performance, and provide technical guidance.

· Coordinate plant design and equipment acquisition to support technological upgrades and industry qualification requirements.

· Participate in drafting and reviewing project proposals, tenders, and contracts to ensure technical feasibility and budget compliance.

· Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory standards.

· Coordinate resource allocation and scheduling across projects to optimise efficiency and output.

· Supervise project schedule, budget, quality, and risk control to ensure timely and compliant delivery.

· Drive continuous improvement, lead optimisation of production processes and lean manufacturing initiatives, and report progress to management.

· Prepare technical reports, production statistics, and quality analysis statements.

· Liaison with manufacturing, marketing, logistics and finance team to ensure the efficiency of production and project operation.

· Ensure all engineering activities comply with occupational health and safety regulations and other relevant legal standards.

Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree or above in engineering.

· 10+ years of experience in engineering or engineering management; project management experience in metro, tunnel, highway, railway, and large-scale plant projects is preferred.

· Experience in international engineering projects and the Australian local market, with cross-cultural collaboration capabilities.
