Maintenance Fitter

Gram Engineering is looking for a maintenance Fitter on a full-time permanent basis to assist with maintenance of plant and equipment.
The position will primarily involve performing preventative and reactive / breakdown maintenance, providing general technical support to the manufacturing site, as well as some machinery installation / relocation.
- Ensuring equipment is properly maintained
- Equipment breakdowns are resolved in a timely manner in order to reduce downtime
- Execute the planned maintenance to ensure that agreed schedules are delivered in accordance to plan and company standards
- Support Continuous Improvement activities for the Factory
- Maintain Spare Parts inventory
- Proactively identifying efficiencies and cost savings
- Trade qualifications in Engineering or as a Fitter or in a relevant Mechanical stream.
- 3+ years experience in a manufacturing organisation.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes
- Experience in Maintenance or Engineering in a manufacturing environment, including Pumps, Compressors and hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
- A forklift license is desirable but not essential.
- High degree of Safety awareness and adherence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
