T&S Nexus Group Pty Ltd are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team in Brisbane on a casual basis, offering flexible work hours to support individuals with disabilities, in particular LGBTQIA+ in our local community.

Our participants span from Petrie (North Brisbane) to Booval (Ipswich) to Thornlands (Cleveland) and everywhere in between

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised support to clients with a range of disabilities, including physical, intellectual and psychosocial needs
  • Play a vital part in empowering our clients to lead independent and fulfilling lives
  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Facilitate social and recreational activities to promote client engagement and community inclusion
  • Collaborate with allied health professionals to ensure holistic care and advocate for client needs
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures
  • Build long lasting, trusting relationships with clients

Qualifications & experience:

  • Prior experience the disability or aged care sectors
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
  • Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance for work purposes
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and person-centred support
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • An empathetic, patient, and genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
