Your New Role
Our client is seeking an Operations Assistant to join the team at Port Botany on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role at the heart of operations, where your ability to coordinate crews, manage schedules, and respond to challenges will make a real impact. You'll work closely with the Port Manager and frontline teams to ensure vessels are resourced, supported, and operating safely and efficiently.

What You Will Be Doing
- Acting as the main point of contact for crew regarding operational administration and support.
- Monitoring compliance with certifications, inductions, and training requirements.
- Coordinating onboarding for new crew, including PPE and site access documentation.
- Managing site vehicle needs and fuel card arrangements.
- Preparing and reviewing timesheets for accurate payroll processing.
- Scheduling meetings, events, and site visits for staff and stakeholders.
- Maintaining office supplies and processing purchase orders with accurate coding.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Previous experience in administrative or operational support roles; crew scheduling experience is a plus.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confidence in following operational procedures and processes.
- Personable and approachable, with a knack for building strong relationships.
- Solid computer literacy, including Microsoft Office; exposure to systems like Workday or Sertica is advantageous.
- Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- A proactive attitude and commitment to safety and efficiency.
