About the role

We are seeking an experienced, passionate chef to join our team at Rosalie Gourmet Market in Paddington, Queensland. As an Experienced Chef in the on-site commercial kitchen which supports our Gourmet Deli, you will play a vital role in creating and delivering exceptional seasonal, gourmet meals and catering offerings for our discerning customers. This is an ongoing casual position with regular / consistent day time hours, and a permanent position is also an option.

What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing and cooking a variety of gourmet meals and dishes for our deli
  2. Preparation of catering orders on-site within our premises
  3. Collaborating with the team to develop innovative seasonal menus and recipes
  4. Ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
  5. Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
  6. Contributing to a positive team culture

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum of 4 years as a chef, ideally with experience in catering or working in a similar gourmet or high-quality food environment
  2. Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and pricing
  3. Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen
  4. Excellent time management and organisational skills
  5. Passion for creating delicious, visually appealing gourmet catering & meals
  6. Flexible and adaptable to changing demands and priorities
  7. Food safety and hygiene certification
