About us: The outer western region of our service includes extremely remote communities. Cairns Hospital is the only major referral hospital in Far North Queensland and also provides care for people from Cape York and the Torres Strait.

About your role:

Implementing basic therapy procedures and activities including home and clinic-based client care, group programs, client education and maintaining and setting up assistive equipment as directed by the treating Allied Health Clinician. This may include the delivery of individual or group therapy.

Maintaining close communication with the allied health professionals, patients, families and other hospital staff, regarding patient care and progress, including relevant clinical documentation and statistics collection.

Undertaking non-clinical tasks including, maintaining Allied Health Clinical areas, retrieval, cleaning and maintaining of equipment loaned to patients and other specialised equipment as well as performing routine clerical and administrative duties.
