About the Role

Eastern Guruma is seeking a skilled and detail-driven Quotations & Estimations Officer to join our Commercial Team. This pivotal role supports our end-to-end bid processes, including accurate quoting, estimating, and managing contracts and tenders. Working closely with the Commercial Manager and Executive Director, you will help drive the organisation's strategic objectives, contribute to winning new work, and ensure seamless project transitions across the business.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing precise quotations, tenders, and cost estimations while ensuring strong stakeholder relationships and high-quality commercial outcomes. You will play a key part in supporting business growth, improving processes, and maintaining compliance with commercial and organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support & Innovation

2. Contribute to business growth by supporting the Commercial Department's strategic objectives.

3. Assist in driving innovation, strong business development practices, and effective bid outcomes.

4. Help deliver the goals outlined in Eastern Guruma's Strategic, Marketing, and Sales Plans.

5. Stakeholder Engagement & Client Management

6. Build and maintain strong business relationships with clients and suppliers.

7. Provide responsive, high-quality quoting and estimating support.

8. Assist with Contracts and Tenders, ensuring positive client engagement.

9. Project Estimation & Tender Management

10. Prepare accurate quotes, estimates, and tender packages in collaboration with clients.

11. Analyse labour, materials, and timeframe requirements to prepare cost estimates and reports.

12. Support a smooth transition of awarded projects to the Operations team.

13. Quality Assurance & Data Management

14. Maintain high-quality standards across commercial processes and systems.

15. Ensure accurate record-keeping, data entry, and commercial schedule management.

16. Support efficient project conversion and scheduling.

17. Collaboration & Workflow Control

18. Work closely with client tender teams to maintain efficient workflows.

19. Assist with commercial variations and contractual matters post-handover.

20. Contribute to smooth operational delivery through effective communication and support.

21. Commercial Compliance

22. Ensure adherence to relevant Acts, Regulations, IMS, IT Systems, FRM, and HRP requirements.

23. Uphold probity, due diligence, and prudent commercial practices throughout the bidding process.

About You

• Holds a relevant tertiary qualification in Business or Engineering or related field
• Proven experience in quoting, estimating, tendering, or commercial support roles within the mining, civil, or construction sector
• Skilled in Strategic Development Planning as well as development, implementation, and operation of sub-plans in Marketing and Sales.
• Experienced in matters relating to Governance, including Board meeting preparation and facilitation of matters involving Director's interaction.
• Basic experience in Facilities Management operations and requirements.
• Highly organised, analytical, and detail-oriented
• A strong communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills, both written and verbal
• Able to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities
• Confident with commercial systems, data management, and compliance processes
• Highly proficient with computers with previous experience with Pronamics Estimator, Pronamics Expert Project and Budget, Primavera 6 and Microsoft Office applications
