About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled
PSA Engineer – Network/Transmission
to join our Grid Software team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in
Energy Management Systems (EMS)
, with a focus on
Transmission Power System Applications
such as
Load Flow
,
Contingency Analysis
, and
Power Factor Control
.

In this role, you will be responsible for the
development, customization, and delivery
of advanced Power Systems Applications for Transmission networks. You will collaborate with
Electric Utilities
,
Independent System Operators (ISOs)
, and
Transmission System Operators (TSOs)
to design, implement, and optimize EMS functionalities—ensuring reliable and efficient grid operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver
    Power Systems Applications
    for Transmission systems in alignment with corporate project goals.
  • Collaborate with
    Utilities, ISOs, and TSOs
    to define functional software specifications and requirements.
  • Implement, test, and integrate software modules to support
    Load Flow
    ,
    Contingency Analysis
    , and other transmission-related functions.
  • Engage with customers daily to address technical issues, organize support calls, and coordinate implementation of solutions while adhering to change control and compliance protocols.
  • Ensure developed solutions effectively resolve customer issues and improve system reliability.
  • Optimize and tune
    EMS/Transmission applications
    for performance and operational efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with internal engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless system delivery and customer satisfaction.

Required Technical & Functional Skills

  • 5+ years
    of experience in customizing and delivering
    Energy Management Systems (EMS)
    , preferably
    GE e-terra AEMS (Reliance)
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    Transmission Power System Applications
    , including:
  • Load Flow Analysis
  • Contingency Analysis
  • Power Factor Control
  • Voltage Stability and Network Analysis
  • Proficiency in
    C++
    ,
    Java
    , or related programming languages.
  • Strong experience with both
    Linux
    and
    Windows
    operating systems.
  • Knowledge of
    Oracle
    or
    SQL
    databases.
  • Excellent understanding of
    Transmission System Operations
    and
    Network Modeling
    .
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with customers and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Electrical Engineering
    ,
    Power Systems
    ,
    Computer Science
    , or a related field.
  • Experience with
    GE XA/21 (Reliance)
    or equivalent EMS platforms (e.g., Siemens, ABB, OSI, Schneider).
  • Familiarity with
    Energy Management protocols
    and
    real-time system integration
    .
  • Experience supporting or implementing systems for
    Transmission Utilities
    ,
    ISOs
    , or
    TSOs
    .
