Senior Solicitor / Senior Associate – Real Estate Finance / Private Capital

About the role

Our Melbourne Real Estate Finance team are currently recruiting a Senior Solicitor or Senior Associate, working closely with Andrew Barrett, you will work across complex matters with a focus on real estate finance, development, investment and capital partnering transactions.

The team is known as one of the best in the Australian market. We work with fund managers, private credit providers, developers, financial institutions and investors on their major projects, investments and capital partnering activities. 

One of the things we pride ourselves on is not pigeonholing lawyers. You will work across the full spectrum of services we provide, from advising on finance documents for significant real estate developments to structuring and documenting joint venture arrangements and risk allocation on complex projects.

You will have

• excellent analytical, communication and research skills - to deliver prompt and commercially astute advice
• first rate experience of drafting documents
• strong commitment to client service and well-developed relationship management ability - you will play a key role in supporting and actively developing our relationships with our clients
• team focus - to mentor junior colleagues and ensure the effective utilisation of the group
• enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities – assisting with pitches and managing strategic relationships and networks

You will have recognised experience gained in a similar environment and enjoy working as part of a committed team.
