THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

As the IT Security Engineer, you will join on a 12 month fixed term contract to assist with a large remediation / uplift project.

It's a project-focused role to uplift security and implement remediation activities across Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Office 365, MFA, PAM, SIEM etc

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding complex technical issues and managing them within a fast-paced business environment.

  • Identify and remediate configuration vulnerabilities across a variety of IT platforms.

  • Assist in the configuration and maintenance of security tools and technologies.

  • Support security uplift activities including patch management, hardening, and access control improvements.

  • Collaborate with Security and Operations teams to implement remediation and uplift activities.

  • Monitor remediation progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

  • Validate fixes through retesting and verification activities.

  • Documentation of processes, knowledge management and configuration management

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, PERSONAL QUALITIES

Suitable for a hands-on IT Security Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer with demonstrated experience implementing security uplift initiatives across Windows, Azure, and Microsoft 365.

The following is required:

  • Proven experience as an IT Security Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer with core competencies across Wintel, Azure, Microsoft 365.

  • Demonstrated experience remediating vulnerabilities across patch management, hardening, and access control improvements.

  • Financial Services experience or a similar highly regulated industry.

  • Able to confidently & clearly communicate thoughts / ideas / concepts and form relationships / collaborate with others.

  • Enthusiastic to be part of a cyber uplift and able to take the initiative to deliver it.

  • Able to work autonomously, manage your own priorities, be process driven, yet still able to think outside the box and problem solve.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract (hybrid WFH available) and is offering $140,000 - $150,000 (plus super) - depending on experience.
