THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
As the IT Security Engineer, you will join on a 12 month fixed term contract to assist with a large remediation / uplift project.
It's a project-focused role to uplift security and implement remediation activities across Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Office 365, MFA, PAM, SIEM etc
Responsibilities:
- Understanding complex technical issues and managing them within a fast-paced business environment. 
- Identify and remediate configuration vulnerabilities across a variety of IT platforms. 
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of security tools and technologies. 
- Support security uplift activities including patch management, hardening, and access control improvements. 
- Collaborate with Security and Operations teams to implement remediation and uplift activities. 
- Monitor remediation progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders. 
- Validate fixes through retesting and verification activities. 
- Documentation of processes, knowledge management and configuration management 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, PERSONAL QUALITIES
Suitable for a hands-on IT Security Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer with demonstrated experience implementing security uplift initiatives across Windows, Azure, and Microsoft 365.
The following is required:
- Proven experience as an IT Security Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer with core competencies across Wintel, Azure, Microsoft 365. 
- Demonstrated experience remediating vulnerabilities across patch management, hardening, and access control improvements. 
- Financial Services experience or a similar highly regulated industry. 
- Able to confidently & clearly communicate thoughts / ideas / concepts and form relationships / collaborate with others. 
- Enthusiastic to be part of a cyber uplift and able to take the initiative to deliver it. 
- Able to work autonomously, manage your own priorities, be process driven, yet still able to think outside the box and problem solve. 
This is a 12 month fixed term contract (hybrid WFH available) and is offering $140,000 - $150,000 (plus super) - depending on experience.
