ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a creative and passionate Junior School Visual Arts Teacher to join our Junior School for Semester 1 of 2026. As a Teacher, you will work collaboratively with your colleagues to deliver a vibrant curriculum to your students and possess a strong knowledge of content and pedagogy in these areas. You will be using teaching strategies that cater to the needs of a diverse student group.

We value and respect the skills and experience you will bring to our School. As the classroom Teacher, you will be responsible for the delivery of a holistic education, including;  

Creation of a nurturing learning environment which is learner-centred, safe, supportive, co-operative and aligned with curriculum, policies and practices.Effective planning, implementation and reviewing of learning programs.Maintaining professional standards as defined by the  Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.Effective management of students in the classroom and wider school community.Ensuring that the values and Anglican ethos of the School are upheld.

Skills And Experiences

ABOUT YOU:

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

Tertiary study in Visual Arts and/or Primary Education.Early Childhood Education – would be an advantage.Experience in teaching Primary Art years P-6.Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement.Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum.Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills and organisational skills.Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, parents and carers to achieve the best outcomes for students.Demonstrate a commitment to the Christian faith and Anglican ethos of the School.
