**Role Description/Criteria**
- Teaching Visual Arts to Year P-6 Students weekly
- Displaying children’s art pieces around the school, changing them regularly
- Possessing the enthusiasm, creativity, skills, and abilities necessary to engage and empower students with a rich, rewarding Visual Arts experience
- Encouraging the link between art and well-being in children
- Creating, building, and embracing a positive collegial, team-based approach to teaching and learning.
- Delivering the appropriate Visual Arts curriculum to a range of educational abilities, using high-impact teaching strategies, including feedback to enable and enhance student learning.
- Demonstrating the development of positive partnerships with parents and the wider community.
- Coordinating a bi-annual Art Show
- Participating in various school-organised events where possible
- Writing formal academic reports that conform to report writing guidelines
- Monitoring the progress of each student and providing meaningful and regular feedback to each student on their progress
- Demonstrating competency with digital technologies.
This position is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of ongoing
