Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking a
Procurement Manager
to join our expanding operations with a major aviation client . This new role has been created due to growth and will be based in the client's Brisbane head office. Working on-site two days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays preferable), you will play a key role in leading procurement strategies and initiatives that ensure value, compliance, and service excellence across our facilities management contract.

Reporting directly to the Account Manager, you will work closely with stakeholders, suppliers, and service providers to negotiate contracts, establish long-term supplier partnerships, and oversee supplier performance, compliance and value to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach .

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business and client requirements.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, delivering value while minimising risks.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, compliance, and reporting against KPIs.
  • Support tendering processes and review of maintenance subcontracts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual contractor performance reports.
  • Foster strong working relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and client representatives.

Education, Experience & Skills
Essential:

  • Proven experience in procurement, contracts, or facilities management.
  • Strong negotiation, reporting, and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and solutions-focused, able to prioritise in a complex environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience in aviation, property, or corporate real estate environments.
  • Formal tertiary qualifications in Property, Commerce, or Business.
  • Background in integrated services, facilities management, or project management.
