About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the WD-40 Company as a HR & Office Administration Assistant. This newly created role is for an organised, detail orientated and passionate person who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and getting involved. Reporting to the HR Regional Business Partner APAC, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to HR and wider office functions. The role is based in our Epping, NSW office.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and written, be able to effectively and efficiently complete routine tasks, enjoy thinking outside the box for creative problem solving and be very organised.
*Please note this currently a 12 month contract role with the intent for permanent placement.
What you'll be doing
HR Support
- Supporting recruitment administration relating to job advertisements, resume screening, scheduling interviews, reference checks.
- Supports employment administration requirements relating to new hire contracts, probation, all job changes.
- Supports new hire onboarding administration process.
- Supports probation administration process.
- Maintains accurate and timely employee information in Workday.
- Monitors, tracks and follows up on outstanding employee absence requests.
- Supports the updating and communication of internal policies.
- Provides additional HR Administration support as required.
Meeting and Event Coordination
- Coordinates regular, semi-regular and ad-hoc company events and conferences.
- Coordinates internal meetings and/or training events as required.
Administration Support
- Responsible for answering and re-directing incoming calls and general email.
- Processes incoming and outgoing mail, including couriers as required.
- Responsible for monitoring and coordinating birthday and employee anniversary requirements.
- Responsible for running the monthly Sales reports.
- Provides additional regular or ad hoc administration support to all other departments as required.
Office/Facilities Coordination
- Coordinate approved service providers regarding maintenance of office facilities and equipment.
- Responsible for processing all invoices related to office equipment and suppliers.
- Responsible for coordination and ordering of office supplies.
- Responsible for office access management.
- Maintains existing relationships with landlords, office vendors and suppliers.

What You'll Bring to the Role
- Knowledge of administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Basic knowledge of HR functions.
Desirable experience
- 1-2 years office administration experience.
- 1-2 years HR administration experience .
- Bachelor's degree in business or other relevant field desirable.
