Our warm and easy-going family in Double Bay is seeking a nurturing, calm, and reliable nanny to care for their cheerful 16-month-old. They value quality family time, a simple and healthy lifestyle, and a gentle, predictable household rhythm. Dad works full-time, while Mum will be at home during the initial transition period and part-time once everyone has settled comfortably into a routine.

The nanny's day will begin with a check-in with Mum to plan activities. The daily rhythm is relaxed yet engaging, with a mix of playtime, walks, reading, naps, and outdoor adventures. Their toddler is curious and energetic, loving to explore, learn, and spend time outside. The role includes creating stimulating, age-appropriate activities, preparing simple healthy snacks and meals, supporting nap and meal routines, and assisting with light household tasks related to childcare, such as tidying play areas, laundry and cleaning up after meals.

The ideal nanny is hands-on, warm, and genuinely enjoys being part of a toddler's world. They bring calm energy, patience, and reliability, engaging actively while keeping interactions gentle and fun.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Providing attentive, nurturing care and engaging daily activities
  • Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks for the child
  • Supporting nap routines and daily structure
  • Tidying play areas, managing baby laundry, and maintaining a clean environment
  • Communicating openly with parents about the child's day

  • Non-smoker
  • Experience supporting a parent working from home (preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years' professional experience working with toddlers
  • Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain ASAP)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain ASAP)
  • Current National Criminal Record Check
  • A minimum of 2 Australian-based child-related references
  • Excellent communication and English skills

Pay: $38.00 – $43.00 per hour
