About the Opportunity – Talent Acquisition Manager / Lead

Helping Hand is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager (or Talent Acquisition Lead) to drive recruitment strategy and delivery across a diverse, multi-site workforce.

This newly defined position blends leadership and hands-on delivery. You'll lead a capable internal TA team, collaborate closely with People & Culture, and ensure a high-quality, values-aligned experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

Working across metro and regional SA, you'll focus on building sustainable talent pipelines, strengthening Helping Hand's employer brand, and embedding efficient, data-led recruitment practices.

This role is your chance to make a meaningful impact, shaping the workforce that enables Helping Hand to provide exceptional care, connection, and support to older South Australians. For more than 70 years, Helping Hand has been a trusted presence in the community, empowering people to live with dignity, independence, and purpose.

What You'll Be Doing

This role sits at the centre of workforce attraction, design, and delivery. You'll:

  • Shape and implement recruitment strategies that align with organisational goals across Residential, Home Care, and Corporate Services.
  • Lead, mentor, and empower an internal TA team to deliver consistent, high-quality results while developing their capability and confidence.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment for both high-volume and specialist roles, balancing quality, speed, and candidate experience.
  • Partner with leaders across the organisation to understand workforce needs, forecast future demand, and tailor sourcing strategies accordingly.
  • Drive process improvement by optimising recruitment systems, reporting, dashboards, and data insights to inform smarter hiring decisions.
  • Champion Helping Hand's EVP and employer brand, ensuring every campaign and interaction reflects their values of compassion, respect, and excellence.
  • Lead strategic projects that strengthen talent pipelines, reduce agency reliance, and improve workforce sustainability across metro and regional SA.
  • Embed inclusive, candidate-centred practices to attract diverse talent and create a positive experience at every stage of the hiring journey.

About You

You're a proactive and strategic talent leader who thrives on partnering with people to deliver meaningful outcomes. You bring credibility, sound judgement and a steady hand to a fast-paced environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

You're also a genuine people leader who inspires confidence, builds capability, and creates strong relationships across every level of an organisation.

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience leading or managing a recruitment or broader people function within a complex or multi-site environment
  • Success working in high-volume settings with peaks and surges in demand
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills who is able to connect with everyone from executives to frontline team members
  • Sound judgement, problem-solving ability and commercial awareness
  • A collaborative mindset with a focus on innovation, inclusion and continuous improvement
  • Ideally, experience in aged care, health, or another service-based environment

Even if you don't meet every single requirement, we'd still love to hear from you.

Why You'll Love Working with Helping Hand

This is an opportunity to contribute to an organisation that's both well-established and forward-thinking, one that genuinely values its people and the communities it serves.

Helping Hand offers:

  • Hybrid work options and flexibility around home and office
  • A supportive, inclusive and values-led culture
  • The opportunity to lead meaningful recruitment that shapes real outcomes
  • Non-for-profit benefits and inclusions
