The Opportunity

We are seeking an astute In-House Paralegal / Junior Lawyer to support our General Counsel. You'll play a key role in supporting commercial contracts and disputes, property transactions, loans and finance deals, and supporting legal compliance. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys variety, fast-paced work, and exposure to live transactions and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting and reviewing a range of legal / template documents under the supervision of General Counsel, including:

    • General commercial contracts

    • Property related agreements

    • Loan and security contracts

    • Investment / fund raising documents

    • SDA provider documents

    • Affordable housing documents

    • Employment contracts

    • Group policies and procedures

    • Operational material, to review for compliance purposes

  • Managing disputes and litigation, supported by external solicitors

  • Conducting searches (eg ASIC)

  • Maintaining legal templates, supporting compliance obligations (including AFSL/ACL) and governance systems

  • Providing internal stakeholders with legal support on ad hoc matters

About You

  • Circa 2 years' plus experience as a paralegal or junior/under-graduate lawyer in a law firm or in-house team

  • Experience in Australian property and/or finance transactions desirable but not essential – rather strong aptitude and ability to learn quickly essential

  • Excellent attention to detail, file organisation, and stakeholder coordination

  • Comfortable working across multiple matters in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication and writing skills

  • Diligent, highly motivated, work well under pressure

  • Top-tier or mid-tier legal training preferred

  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
