Direct 2 Consumer (D2C) is an award-winning promotional marketing agency. We are looking for a Retail Field Representative based in North Sydney NSW to represent a well-known global domestic appliances brand.

Position Overview:

As a Retail Field Representative you'll be the face of the brand in retail stores, ensuring the brand's products are well-represented and prominently displayed in stores. Your main responsibilities include maximising product visibility, maintaining consistent brand messaging, driving sales, and building strong relationships with store personnel. You'll also expand product presence, ensure stores are fully stocked, and report insights on product performance and competitor activities to support strategic decisions.

The role is a part-time 12-month contract (21h/week). You will be working across multiple areas within North Sydney NSW. Please do not apply if you do not have a driver's license & car.

Key Responsibilities:

Store Visits & Audits

  • Conduct regular store visits to assess product displays, stock levels, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Verify correct pricing and promotional materials, reporting any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with store managers to enhance product placement and secure additional display opportunities.

Sell-In to Stores

  • Negotiate with store managers to increase orders and shelf space.
  • Highlight product advantages, market trends, and promotions to gain retail support.
  • Negotiate for premium product placement and adequate stock levels.

Relationship Building & Support

  • Build relationships with store managers and key staff to promote the brand.
  • Train retail staff on product features, benefits, and sales techniques.
  • Be the main contact for your territory, resolving issues and questions.

Reporting & Insights

  • Report on product performance, feedback, and competitor activity.
  • Report on store conditions and challenges.
  • Share insights to improve marketing and sales strategies.

Promotional Activities & Merchandising

  • Support events, launches, and in-store activations.
  • Maintain and replenish displays and coordinate rollouts with head office.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail, sales, or merchandising roles.
  • Experience in a field-based position with a focus on retail and sales is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong sales, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Effective organisational and time management skills.
  • Basic analytical skills for interpreting data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail management software.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable car.
