Our business was established more than 50 years ago as a manufacturer of high-quality, complex and on-display HVAC duct. These are often found in shopping centres, commercial buildings, schools, car parks and large kitchens.

To ensure continued growth and the highest quality production standards, we are seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator. The role is full-time and ongoing, with a great annual salary in the range of $70k to $80k plus superannuation for a suitably qualified candidate.

The duties with which you will be involved:

  • Manufacture HVAC duct and other HVAC related products as per customer requirements and our manufacturing standards (SMACNA).
  • Collaborate with Operational management and staff to ensure the most efficient production outcomes.
  • Interpret technical building drawings.
  • Select, prepare, assemble, and finish high-quality ductwork.
  • Perform various welding processes such as MIG, TIG, or ARC.
  • Operate heat and thermal cutting equipment.
  • Assemble and tack components.
  • Operate other relevant machinery in the factory, including folders, Pittsburgh, beaders and roll forming machines.

To succeed in this role, you:

  • Are suitably qualified (equivalent to a Certificate IV) in a directly relevant field of study.
  • Have attention to detail, produce high quality work, and demonstrable experience in the Metal Fabrication field.
  • Are able to skillfully read and interpret blueprints.
  • Work with a high level of safety awareness.
  • Have at least 3 years or more trade experience post qualifications working in similar roles.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, set goals and accomplish them.
  • Enjoy working with and contributing to cohesive teams.
  • Have unrestricted Australian working rights.
