We are urgently seeking a qualified Metal Fabricator holding a Certificate IV, as our current employee will be leaving in a month. We need a competent and mature tradesperson who is reliable, committed, honest, and looking for long-term employment.

Our location is in Dandenong South,VIC.

Selected person will be engaging in Responsibilities as a Metal Fabricator

Primary Responsibilities:
Carefully examine and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications to understand the project requirements and prepare for task execution.

Choose appropriate metal stock for each task based on project specifications, ensuring proper cleaning and preparation before fabrication begins.

Cut and shape metal sections according to marked outlines using a variety of hand tools, flame cutting torches, and specialized metal-cutting machines.

Bend, shape, and form metal sections and pipes using hand tools, machinery, and heat techniques, including hammering when required, to achieve desired contours.

Align and position metal parts accurately using hand tools and measuring instruments to prepare them for joining.
- Examine and inspect completed welds to confirm width, depth, bead quality, and overall precision, ensuring structural soundness and visual appeal.
- Complete product finishing by cleaning, polishing, and filing surfaces as needed. Utilize acidic solutions for bathing metals when required for additional cleanliness or surface preparation.
- Refine welded joints through filing, chiseling, and grinding, ensuring a smooth and clean finish that meets industry standards.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Regularly inspect and maintain tools and equipment, reporting any malfunctions to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times, ensuring a safe working environment and handling hazardous materials responsibly.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including blueprints, material lists, and project specifications, for future reference or auditing.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplementary Pay:
