We're Hiring Outreach Case Managers (Northern & Western Regions) – Aboriginal Women's Specialist Family Violence Service
Location:
Northern Region – Based in Fairfield
Western Region – Based in Melton
Employment Type: Full-Time | 12-month contract (with potential for extension)
Classification: SCHADS Award 2010 – Level 4.1
Salary: Competitive + Salary Packaging + 11% Superannuation

About Elizabeth Morgan House (EMH)
Elizabeth Morgan House Aboriginal Women's Service Inc. (EMH) is a proudly Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation, providing specialist family violence services for Aboriginal women and their children since 1976. We offer culturally safe and holistic programs including high-security refuge, outreach, court support, housing, and counselling.
Our vision is to work with Aboriginal communities to ensure a safe and culturally strong future for our women, children, and young people.
About the Role
We are currently seeking two experienced and passionate Outreach Case Managers to join our team:
Northern Outreach Case Manager – Based at our Fairfield office
Western Outreach Case Manager – Based at our Melton office
These roles provide trauma-informed, culturally appropriate case management to Aboriginal women and their children experiencing family violence. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, risk assessments, safety and case planning, housing advocacy, and community outreach.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver holistic, strengths-based case management support
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and safety planning
- Support clients in accessing safe and secure housing
- Provide court support and facilitate referrals to appropriate services
- Maintain accurate case notes and contribute to program reporting
Selection Criteria
- relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Social Work, Psychology, Community Services) or demonstrate significant experience in family violence or social services and be willing to undertake a formal transition plan toward compliance.
- Strong understanding of the dynamics of family violence and its impact on Aboriginal women and children
- Ability to provide culturally safe and client-centred case management
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Full Victorian Driver's License
- Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and Police Check
Preferred
- Experience working in a similar family violence support role
- Familiarity with SHIP database and SAAP-funded program reporting
