About us

We're a rapidly scaling, not-for-profit disability support provider that believes in positively transforming the lives of people with disability. In doing so, we aim to create the highest quality agency we can, ideally reshaping the sector as a whole.

This means we often do things differently. Since we began in 2015, we've made it our mission to examine every part of what a support provider does – from how we structure our teams, to how we recruit and roster, to how we ensure the highest quality support, to how technology acts as an enabler for all that we do.

Our clients tell us they notice this difference, and for many it's had a profound impact on their lives. Supporting more than 250 clients across metropolitan and regional Victoria and only continuing to grow, we want the people who join us to also believe disability support should enable a life of independence and dignity

The role

We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Learning & Development Coordinator for a 12 month fixed term contract to join our great team to play a key role in shaping the learning experience of our leaders. You'll coordinate and deliver engaging induction programs for our leaders, manage large-scale development forums (face-to-face and online), and contribute to exciting ad hoc L&D projects. Working closely with senior leaders, you'll help identify capability needs and design practical, impactful learning experiences.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver training in a range of formats including face-to-face, online, and workshops.
  • Support L&D projects such as induction redesign and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with external providers and vendors for technical and specialist training.
  • Ensure the training content meets the brand requirements.
  • Design, deliver, and evaluate large-scale professional development forums (face-to-face and online) in collaboration with stakeholders.

Coordination of training events

  • Coordinate and deliver engaging induction programs for leaders.
  • Manage scheduling, facilitator support, promotion, participant experience, and completion tracking.
  • Respond to requests for specialist courses with follow up approvals, enrolments and coordination of external specialist training providers to deliver training, ensuring training is well attended.
  • Ensure L&D electronic files are version controlled, with out of-date materials archived, filing systems easy to use and document naming protocols followed.
  • Support learners through regular contact, monitoring progress and liaising with key stakeholders to ensure learning is supported and new knowledge and skills are being applied on-the-job.

Monitoring and reporting

  • Maintain accurate training records, certifications, and reporting through L&D systems.
  • Track attendance and completion of mandatory and induction training.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights on participation, impact, and improvement opportunities.

Working relationships

  • Partner with leaders and P&C to identify learning and leadership capability needs.
  • Build collaborative relationships across the organisation to support learning outcomes.
  • Respond promptly to feedback and adapt programs as needed.

Professional development

  • Remain up to date with trends in the community and disability sector and advise the L&D team.
  • Participates in self-directed Personal and Professional Development and uses it on the job.

To do a great job, you'll need:

  • Experience in learning and development coordination, facilitation/training, and/or event planning.
  • Experience designing and developing content (desirable, not essential).
  • Enthusiastic and positive outlook
  • Passionate about making a difference
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver engaging learning experiences.
  • Cert IV Training and Assessment (or working towards) is desirable.
  • Experience in disability or community services is a plus, but not essential

As part of our recruitment process, certain checks will be undertaken with your permission, including an NDIS Worker Screening Check that you must have before you can start work.

A word about diversity and inclusion

At InLife, diversity and inclusion is part of our DNA. We celebrate the amazing differences we all bring to our work and we actively ensure that everyone feels safe and supported in our workplaces.

We welcome and encourage applications from everyone and our hiring decisions will never be based on things such as your gender identity, disability, age, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation or cultural background - because they simply aren't relevant to doing an awesome job (and you are protected from this kind of discrimination under Australian law)

We also know that we continue to learn more about inclusion every day, so if there is something you think we could do differently to make InLife a place you could picture yourself working, we're all ears.
