Our client, Immix Metal Management, is a significant metal recycling business that seeks to employ the best people and apply world class processes.

With multiple sites in Victoria and NSW, we are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join the Finance Team in Truganina (Melbourne's west).

This is both a 'hands on' role and a professional role.  You will be part of a skilled finance and accounting team.

Responsibilities:

  • End of month and Year processing, reconciliations and reporting within set deadlines.
  • Preparation and lodgment of monthly BAS
  • Prepare bank and GST reconciliations
  • Weekly cashflow forecasting and management
  • Weekly processing of payroll
  • Assist with preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist with Asset Finance and Insurance claims & renewals
  • Maintain and update equipment leases and assets, processing interest and depreciation journals.
  • Support the management and reconciliation of fuel transactions and reporting.
  • AP & AR Support during peak periods or absence
  • Assist with contracts, loans and the processing and handling of financial documents.
  • Assist and participate in external tax audit and tax management.
  • Cost Analysis for cost savings.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Formal qualifications in accounting / business with CA / CPA - ideal
  • A strong commercial focus and relevant experience in a medium sized organisation - Processing / manufacturing / transport / supply chain is ideal
  • Minimum 5 years financial accounting experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
