About The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected supplier to the
Australian mining industry
. Based in
Sunshine
, this facility is seeking experienced and motivated
CNC Programmers/Machinists
,
Machine Operators
, and
Router Operators
to join their precision manufacturing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a
CNC Programmer/Machinist
with a
toolmaking background
, ideally combined with
fitting experience
, to work on high-precision components that are used across critical mining applications nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machines using G-code or related software.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD/CAM files.
  • Select appropriate tooling and machining strategies to meet tight tolerances.
  • Perform in-process inspections and quality control checks.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and adjust machines as needed.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment to meet production and safety targets.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in CNC programming and machine operation.
  • Background in toolmaking and/or mechanical fitting strongly preferred.
  • Strong ability to interpret complex technical drawings.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Strong focus on safety, precision, and continuous improvement.
