At Visory, we're all about empowering businesses to unlock their full potential.
Launched in early 2020, we are a fast growing start up, and we have built Australia and New Zealand's first digital bookkeeping solution that supports small to medium sized businesses.
We supercharge their financial back-office by connecting them to a marketplace of certified Bookkeeping and Payroll Experts, backed by our powerful digital platform of best practice workflows.
The result; clean books, oversight of key financial indicators and freedom from their back-office so they can get back to big picture growth.
You'll lead the operational heart of our bookkeeping and payroll function - ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and excellence across every workflow. You'll bring technical accounting acumen and people leadership together to help our Experts deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes that empower clients to make smarter business decisions.
If you're a CA or CPA-qualified professional who thrives at the intersection of finance, technology, and leadership - and you're ready to disrupt traditional accounting delivery- this role is for you.

- Keep workflows up-to-date so they accurately reflect the scope, frequency, and deliverables for each customer
Quality Ownership
- Own the technical accuracy and compliance of all work produced under your team
- Review key workflow milestones and submissions
- Track error rates, run root-cause analysis, and feed insights to Product & Quality teams
Technical Support & Escalations
- Act as first point of contact for technical questions on bookkeeping, payroll, or platform nuances
- Support Business Performance Partners (BPPs) with complex, customer-facing technical issues—join calls when needed
- Investigate significant errors; craft remediation plans and confirm fixes
People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Bookkeeper and Payroll Experts
- Run regular 1:1s, feedback loops, and performance reviews
- Build clear career pathways and foster a customer-centric mindset
- Manage Expert performance; address under-performance promptly
Documentation & Process Governance
- Ensure Experts keep customer documentation, manuals, and process notes current
- Champion consistent process adherence and version control across the team
- CA or CPA qualification, with 2+ years post-qualification experience in Operational Finance (Finance Manager, Financial Controller) or Public Practice, managing end-to-end accounting operations.
- Deep technical expertise in bookkeeping, payroll compliance, and accounting controls—with the confidence to review, problem-solve, and mentor others on complex issues.
- Proven leadership experience, capable of coaching and managing performance across bookkeeping, payroll, or outsourced finance teams.
- Fluency in cloud accounting systems like Xero, MYOB, and integrated tools such as KeyPay, Dext, and ApprovalMax; skilled at troubleshooting and workflow optimisation.

- Shape the Future of Finance Operations: Play a key role in designing the workflows, tools, and standards that power a category-defining back-office platform for SMEs.
- Work at the Cutting Edge of Finance, Product & AI: Collaborate with product, engineering, and data experts to embed automation, streamline processes, and enhance service quality.
- Thrive in a Flexible, High-Growth Environment: Join a fast-moving, cross-functional team that values experimentation, continuous improvement, and genuine work-life flexibility across Australia and New Zealand.
