About The Opportunity
In this role, you'll support the effective operation of Council's Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management Framework by coordinating WHS system administration, contractor WHS compliance, audit and assurance activities, and document control. You'll work closely with leaders, project managers, and operational teams to ensure safe systems of work are understood, applied and continuously improved.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in a WHS, safety governance or compliance role within a medium-to-large organisation.
- Relevant qualifications in Work Health and Safety and a strong working knowledge of safety legislation and best practice.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to support leaders and teams in applying WHS requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, data literacy and the ability to manage systems, workflows and reporting.
- A current Class C driver's licence (mandatory).
