Canteen Assistant - Part Time

Our School is an independent K-12 co-educational school situated in a beautiful and inspiring semi-rural environment in the north-west of Sydney. The School has a strong commitment to delivering a rigorous academic program based on 'learning through scholarship' combined with a focus on 'pastoral attentiveness' in the character development of our students. Our School offers a diverse co-curricular program and opportunities for leadership and service.

We are seeking a Canteen Assistant to join our busy School Canteen team on either a part-time, or casual basis in Term 1, 2026.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be reliable and responsible
  • Possess strong organisational skills
  • Deliver good quality customer service to students of all ages and staff
  • Have a Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain one

Duties will include:

  • Assist with function catering as required
  • Preparation, storage and sale of hot and cold food and snacks, in line with food safety requirements
  • Accurate fulfilment of lunch orders
  • Restocking and rotation of stock, as required
  • Accurate cash handling and end of day balancing
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance of all canteen areas including, fridges, freezers, storeroom, front display, and kitchen area
