Located on level 2 of the MidCity centre and spanning 4,437 sqm, our Pitt Street club is everything you'll ever need, right in the middle of the CBD. Inside you'll find 7 group exercise studios for classes including Reformer Pilates, Grid Training (HIIT), Yoga, Cycle, Barre (and more), a large open gym with Technogym equipment, a sparkling 25m swimming pool, spa & sauna, indoor climbing wall, relaxing sleep pods, luxury changeroom amenities, and a spacious café and lounge area, perfect for unwinding or catching up on work.

The gig:

Reporting to the Club General Manager, you'll own the commercial success of our Pitt St club, from sales and customer service, to retention and member terminations.

In a nutshell -

  • You'll lead, coach and inspire a high-performing Experience team to hit ambitious sales and retention targets.
  • You'll design and deliver local sales strategies that grow memberships, drive retention and elevate the member experience.
  • You'll build strong local corporate partnerships — pitching, negotiating and closing deals that boost growth.
  • You'll partner with the Club Manager and wider club leadership team to influence club-wide strategy and revenue planning.
  • You'll report on performance against budget, analysing variances and keeping your finger firmly on the numbers.
  • You'll create a culture where both members and team members love to spend time — and where smashing targets feels just as good as a post-class endorphin rush.

All about you:

  • You're more than a sales manager — you're a leader who thrives on results and knows how to bring a team along for the ride. You're comfortable with the entire sales cycle and thrive on exceeding performance targets. You may also have some corporate sector experience. A+ for you.
  • You have 2+ years of relevant sales or hospitality leadership experience, your first aid, flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule and can readily obtain a clear Working with Children Check (if required). You may also have experience within the fitness sector. A+ for you.
  • You are people-focused. You get a kick out of delivering extraordinary customer experiences and seeing people kick sales targets out of the park. You're patient, level-headed, and cool under pressure. Teaching your sales team new techniques makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
  • You are self-assured. You listen intently. You speak eloquently. You can explain just about anything to anyone and you're comfortable communicating at all levels. You're authentic when you express yourself. People trust your judgement.
  • You are driven. You love coaching teams and can design strategies to get the best results. You have incredible persuasive ability and are a natural negotiator. You're comfortable managing your time and can be counted on to reach targets.
  • You have a can-do approach. You think on your feet. You're cool with ambiguity and you roll with the punches when things change. You're motivated to find solutions and always consider the business impact. You easily move between tactical work and big picture work
