We need a Senior Support Worker with SIL home experience

Home Caring part of The Caring Group is a private company focused on delivering high quality home care in the aged and disability care community across Australia. We are growing rapidly and expanding our team to deliver on our strategic goals.

We are committed to delivering sensitive and respectful client-centred care, offering a wide range of services such as complex care, high needs, personal care, respite, domestic assistance and home maintenance in the comfort and privacy of the clients' homes.

Main responsibilities and activities may include:

  • Manage a team of Support Workers, to work towards common goals for the clients
  • Manage performance of employees by setting standards and a maintaining consistent approach to expectations
  • Flexibility to work AM and PM Supporting Individuals in the SIL homes, plus shifts for administration in the week.
  • Assist our clients with their daily routines and skills, such as - Community access, medication, personal care, domestic duties etc. Manage accurate and detailed shift reports, incident reports and progress notes. Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Ensure client care is always at company standard
  • Build a team culture that is supportive, accountable and value strong work ethics
  • Ensure workplace safety practices are always implemented as per company guidelines
  • Improve processes or implement new initiatives to make enhancements to the management of the home
  • Be involved in the care planning of clients and directly liaison with managers and the care team about clients

Requirements

  • A genuine passion to work alongside clients and to make a positive and lasting difference in their lives
  • Experience of complex behaviours and behaviour support methods
  • Excellent communication skills, a commitment to a person-centred focus and flexibility to support needs based on individual circumstances
  • Experience leading a team and organising clients needs
  • Ability to complete administrative duties
  • NDIS workers screening check
  • A valid drivers licence and access to a reliable car
