Lead RC Exploration on a High-Priority Gold Project

Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing drilling contractor delivering high-quality Exploration, Waterwell, and Drill & Blast services to tier 1 and mid-tier miners across WA. With continued demand across key exploration projects, they are now seeking an experienced and self-sufficient RC Driller to lead a rig crew, operating Schramm and Explorac rigs in deep-hole gold exploration.


About the Role:

This is a field-based role requiring leadership, deep-hole RC experience, and the ability to run a rig autonomously in remote conditions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operate and maintain Schramm T685 and Atlas Copco Explorac 225 RC drill rigs
  • Set up and break down remote camps and drill sites as needed
  • Lead daily drilling operations and maintain compliance with safety standards
  • Achieve or exceed daily metre targets
  • Supervise and train offsiders, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
  • Conduct pre-start checks, basic maintenance, and reporting

Non-Negotiable Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience operating Schramm T685 rigs
  • Gold site experience – essential
  • Deep-hole drilling experience – essential
  • Auxiliary booster experience – essential
  • Atlas Copco Explorac 225 experience – essential
  • Working at Heights Certificate – current
  • First Aid Certificate – current
  • Valid HR Driver's Licence – required
  • High level of physical fitness and field-readiness
