Senior Legal Counsel: Mining / Logistics / Transports

About the role:

  • Managing all
    legal aspects
    of the business;
  • Maintaining all
    compliance & regulatory
    requirements;
  • Handling and promoting all
    health, safety
    and environment objectives and policies;
  • Drafting, amending and negotiating all
    commercial contracts
    ;
  • Administering and managing the contract database;
  • Liasing with external law firms; and
  • Supporting overseas legal requirements when needed.

The ideal candidate:

  • Senior Legal Counsel (8+ years PQE)
    with experience advising large corporate organisations ideally involved in the resources sector (mining, oil, gas etc); with
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as engage collaboratively with key stakeholders globally; and
  • Currently working for a major law firm or an in-house legal team of a large corporation.
