EWIS strives to strives to be at the forefront of supporting and delivering some of the most exciting capability within Defence. As part of Joint Systems, EWIS contributes to the acquisition and support of systems for electronic warfare, command and control, satellites, and guided weapons.
About the Role:
As a Communications Engineer - RF, you will be supporting key EW projects within EWIS-L SPO delivering and sustaining critical Defence capability in support of Australia's war fighters in executing Defence's mission to defend Australia and its national interests.
You will bring your extensive Communication Engineering background in RF and Photonics to support across the range of EW capability development and delivery activities across the EW program
Note: This role/s are to be based in Melbourne or Canberra, though anyone that is willing to relocate is encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop engineering models for advanced EW concepts and capabilities.
- Conduct specialist engineering activities in support of advanced R&D with the EW domain.
- Assist the EWIS-L SPO in reviewing and providing engineering advice on documentation delivered by both Industry and Governmental organisation.
- Liaise with Defence and non-Defence stakeholders.
What we would like from you:
- A relevant Engineering degree, qualifications and specific domain/industry experience.
- A demonstrably elevated level of professional knowledge on EW, Communications Engineering, RF and Photonics.
- Relevant experience in engineering artefact development and review activities.
- A demonstrably high level of professional knowledge on applicable EW systems, equipment, or technology.
- Experience using ASDEFCON principles.
- High level communication skills, both written and verbal
- Current NV2 AGSVA clearance OR ability to gain an NV2 security clearance.
