The Client

Our client is a multi-award winning, business. Not your typical design agency. They are strategic thinkers, crafting brand narratives for a range well known brands across Australia. They are now looking for a Design Director to play a leadership role in the next phase of their growth.

Scope

As Design Director you will play a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and guiding the creative design process within the business. This role requires a highly creative and strategic thinker with exceptional design expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of design principles. The Design Director will lead a team of designers, drive the development of creative concepts, and ensure that design projects align with the company's branding, goals, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Leadership: Provide creative direction and leadership to the design team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Creative Strategy: Develop and implement creative strategies that align with the company's brand and business objectives.
  • Design Management: Manage a team of designers, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation. Manage, mentor, and grow the design team.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the entire design process, from concept development to final execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Design Quality: Maintain high design standards and ensure all design work meets quality benchmarks.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Lead the team in finding creative solutions to design challenges and adapt to changing project requirements.
