About the Business
For over 80 years, the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) has empowered individuals and organisations to thrive with industry-focused education solutions. AIM has developed over 100 short courses and Vocational Qualifications to help our students advance their skills and career, regardless of industry and experience. Today, AIM is the market leader in corporate education and training. Our unmatched breadth and depth of programs enable us to support organisations to drive team engagement and growth objectives.
About the Role
AIM is seeking a passionate and experienced Learning Experience Designer contractor to lead the creation of high-impact, learner-centred content across our nationally accredited VET portfolio. With over 3,500 students enrolled, AIM's RTO (#0049) delivers flexible, career-focused qualifications supported by interactive online learning and strong student support.
In this role, you'll bring course content to life through engaging, H5P-rich learning experiences hosted on Moodle. You'll collaborate with subject matter experts, compliance, technology, and delivery teams to ensure content is educationally effective, compliant with ASQA standards, and aligned with AIM's learning design principles.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of vocational education by designing innovative learning experiences across subjects like leadership, project management, digital skills, and human resources.
Please note, we are open to applicants from all cities in Australia.
Successful candidates will be engaged as independent contractors and must have their own ABN or ACN.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of AIM's VET learning experiences using Moodle and H5P
- Create engaging course content and activities that boost learner engagement, retention, and completion
- Review and enhance existing learning and assessment materials to meet compliance and quality standards
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure content relevance and currency
- Apply adult learning principles and AIM's instructional design standards across all content
- Curate and integrate external resources (videos, articles, case studies) to enrich learning
- Drive continuous improvement through feedback analysis, quality reviews, and innovation
About you
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- 5+ years of instructional design experience in VET or adult education
- Deep understanding of pedagogical theory and instructional design models
- Proven ability to align content with Australian Training Packages and AQF standards
- Skilled in using Moodle and H5P to create engaging digital learning resources
- Strong writing, research, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Solid knowledge of RTO compliance, ASQA standards, and assessment validation
- Passionate about learning innovation and improving learner outcomes
