In this role as an Electrical Supervisor of our Greater Hope Downs operations, you will provide hands-on leadership whilst executing safe and efficient electrical activities at a site level. You will play a key role in aligning team performance with operational goals, while fostering a culture that celebrates diverse perspectives, continuous learning, and mutual respect.

Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance, you will be responsible for :
- Managing key safety investigations, preparing reports and recommendations, and implementing corrective and preventive action
- Appointment as Statutory Supervisor under WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022 with functions as per Schedule 26
- Appointment as Electrical Supervisor under WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022 with functions as per Schedule 26
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, including statutory obligations
- Ensuring compliance to relative legislation, including maintaining statutory electrical inspections and records as required by WHS
- Managing Utilities Electrical activities to maximise productivity while minimising cost and environmental impact
- Planning daily work and completing daily inspections of all work areas and regular on the job interactions with the team to develop a safe and efficient work culture
- Utilising SAP to raise and approve notifications, maintaining team capacities, and ensuring maintenance activity information is captured
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of Electrical Maintenance personnel and ensure personnel are up-to-date with mandatory training
- Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption to operations while maintenance and improvements are being performed
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A current 'C' Class Manual Driver's Licence
- A valid WA Electrical Workers Licence
- High Voltage Transmission and Distribution Network experience (essential)
- High Voltage Switching Operator Certificate
- Current First Aid certification
- Completion of the Statutory Supervisor Legal Exam
Approved Risk Management Training, including:
BSBWHS411 – Implement and Monitor WHS Policies, Procedures and Programs
- RIIRIS402E – Carry Out Risk Management Processes or BSBWHS414 – Contribute to WHS Risk Management

This is a FIFO role from Perth or Busselton on a family friendly 8 days on, 6 days off roster.
This roster is designed to support better work-life balance, helping you stay connected to both your role and what matters most outside of work.
Located 100km north-west of Newman, Hope Downs 1 is a joint venture managed and operated by Rio Tinto, working in conjunction with nearby site Hope Downs 4. Hope Downs 1 provides exceptional career growth and opportunities, and the village provides excellent facilities for its FIFO workers.
