Join our dynamic team as a Procurement Sourcing Specialist, where you'll play a pivotal role in providing specialised sourcing services for Information Communication Technology (ICT) projects. Your expertise will be essential in developing contracts and tender documentation to enhance procurement planning and decision-making.

In this role, you will manage the tender sourcing process, focusing on procurement planning, risk management, and compliance with legislative requirements to ensure cost-effective outcomes. You will collaborate with stakeholders to create innovative sourcing solutions, administer strategic sourcing plans, and negotiate supplier agreements that adhere to departmental ethics.

Key responsibilities include identifying and mitigating procurement risks, monitoring sourcing activities for compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will stay updated on procurement legislation and frameworks while balancing competing priorities and engaging with diverse stakeholders.

About you

  • Experience in managing and delivering procurement and sourcing activities, preferably ICT related.
  • Knowledge of the NSW Government procurement policies, systems, procedures and legislation including probity.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities to deliver quality outcome in tight timeframes.
  • Strong communication skills to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for optimising procurement processes.
  • Capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Resilient and adaptable with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Tertiary qualifications in Procurement or Contact Management and / or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
