Digital Designer

We're looking for a forward-thinking, talented graphic designer who finds themselves infinitely scrolling on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or Pinterest — and can execute innovative creative for our digital marketing campaigns.

Let's set the scene. DataSauce is a full-service Performance Marketing agency based in Prahran, specialising in high-performing data-driven strategies across social, search, CRM, CRO, and of course… Content.

DataSauce works with early start-ups to your favourite household brands, across a range of verticals in eCommerce, B2B, SaaS, and events. We run campaigns globally for brands such as Daily Blooms, Godiva, Cygnett, Mister Zimi, Nike Melbourne Marathon, Hairhouse, Silk Laundry, Jackalope Group (and heaps more)

Performance and data may be our specialties, but it's our creative team that functions as our engine. Without them, we simply wouldn't have any ads to run.

You'll create ads that seem to read minds about exactly what people want, and exactly when they're in the mood to shop. But it's not witchcraft or your phone listening to you – it's us. Us, combined with a hefty amount of data and research.

The language in the copy, the visuals, the placements of the ads, it's all carefully considered and made just for you. And that's exactly what we do for our clients.

We research, strategise, ideate, create and design. And when content fatigue happens, we rinse and repeat this process as advised by data.

You are a straight-up, ambitious, united, committed, and experimental individual. And perhaps an extra observant one who picked up that those words spell S.A.U.C.E. – values that we live by at DataSauce.

And as a talented designer, you're further self-motivated and forward-thinking, able to create and execute innovative social ads.

You're excited to make full use of our in-house studio, and every other inch of our office plus the outside world to bring compelling campaigns to life.

From creating digital ads, curating social feeds, producing and editing content for socials, creating email content and branding, being an integral part of our clients' brand development are just some of the great projects you'll be working on.

The role doesn't need to stop there. DataSauce has a sister agency that specialises in Influencer Marketing and Content Creation, and our designers play a big part in day-to-day functions of Sticki as well.

User-generated content is, after all, one of the fastest growing parts of the digital marketing world, and we are looking for a multifaceted creative who can work across both stills and video. Whether that is something you have experience in (or has just been an interest of yours), we would love to hear from you.

Lastly, we're interested in designers who are interested in the strategy side of design. Why does this kind of creative work? How do you use your design skills to highlight a campaign's purpose? How do you compel users to shop?

• You live and breathe the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, having experience or skill in Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and/or After Effects.
• An appreciation and understanding of all things design theory – You know how to elevate a graphic, what makes it tick, and why.
• You're hungry to learn more and driven to produce excellent work.
• You enjoy staying on top of trends, be it from the latest design creation programs to which colours are in this season.
• You love the pace of agency life, are able to see other people's point of view, and respect honest feedback loops. Having said that, we don't do the late nights thing.
• You have the ability to apply creative critical thinking to real life scenarios.
• You're willing to bring new ideas to the table from any realm of the digital world, and also ready to learn when others bring theirs
• You love working independently and collaboratively with our broader team.
• Optional growth opportunities: You have strong video shooting and editing skills, or are keen to explore more about this realm.
