About the Role

Due to the continued growth of our Community at Ingenia Lifestyle Freshwater (Burpengary), we have an exciting opportunity for a Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join our team. This role will be responsible for the grounds and maintenance work within our Land Lease Community of 276 homes. As a Grounds & Maintenance officer, you will play a key role in maintaining the aesthetic and functional aspects of the community. Ingenia Lifestyle Communities are a collection of unique communities in nature rich locations, designed for our residents to stop waiting and start living

This is a great opportunity for an individual with experience in grounds work, maintenance, gardening or manual labour.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain gardens & lawns in the community, including weeding, edging, mowing, spraying, hedging etc

  • Maintain community facilities & public areas in the community

  • Attend to repair & maintenance matters in public areas and facilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and work to a maintenance schedule

  • General upkeep and appearance of the community

  • Ensure the community is presented to a high standard at all times

  • Assist coordination of trades where required

  • Proper and safe use of and storage of all materials, chemicals, consumables and gardening equipment and tools

  • Garden restoration work

  • Removal of rubbish & emptying of bins where required

  • Pressure wash common areas as required, including BBQ pavilions and paths

  • Assist with setup and pack up of equipment in Clubhouse as require

About You

  • Great customer service skills teamed with a positive attitude and a strong attention to detail

  • Self-motivated

  • Problem solver with a keen eye for detail

  • Previous experience working as a handyman or in a gardening or maintenance position

  • Driver's Licence

  • Ability to work with limited supervision

  • Police Check
