Join Us as a Nurse Consultant – Lead Infection Control and Drive Best Practice

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse/Midwife passionate about infection prevention and control? We're seeking a dedicated Nurse Consultant to provide expert guidance and leadership across Country Health Connect. In this influential role, you'll ensure safe, evidence-based practices are implemented to protect staff, clients, and the community while mentoring and supporting healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert consultative services to staff across multiple disciplines.
  • Lead, coordinate, and implement infection prevention and control programs.
  • Assess risks, set priorities, and introduce strategies to minimise infection.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Guide and support less experienced nurses, midwives, and health professionals.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding (or eligible to hold) a current practising certificate.
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post-registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Infection Prevention and Control across Community, Allied Health, and Home Support settings.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal consumers, with proven cultural awareness and responsiveness.
  • Ability to deliver training, education, and competency-based assessments for individuals and groups.

Applicant Information

This is a part time vacancy, working 15.2 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
