Missions

The Opportunity

We seek a passionate Senior Merchandiser to shape the future of our Leather Goods and Accessories categories. Contribute to the strategic vision of Louis Vuitton, influencing the luxury experience across Australia and New Zealand. Optimise product assortments, drive inventory strategy, and build key relationships to ensure success.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive Category Performance:
  • Develop coherent merchandising strategies to achieve sales, sell-through and growth ambitions.
  • Orchestrate product launches ensuring seamless execution.
  • Present new collections and strategies to retail teams, leading training to enhance product knowledge.
  • Develop useful sales/product tools which allow stores to effectively engage with their clients.
  • Analyses + Reporting:
  • Refine product assortment using sales data and store feedback to identify key trends and opportunities.
  • Actively monitor the changes/evolution in business and liaise with the Zone (Regional level) Merchandising and Supply Chain teams to recalibrate the product assortment/availability and avoid missed sales.
  • Report to Zone Merchandising on product feedback, local fashion trends, competitor environment, and client specificities of each store, for integration into the buying strategy for Oceania
  • Support the analytical requirements, including product and sales analysis and competitor intelligence
  • Provide the store and office teams with relevant quantitative and qualitative updates on sales performance
  • Inventory Strategy:
  • Manage local and zone-driven rebalancing exercises to facilitate optimisation of sell-through in seasonal collections
  • Manage product requests for all categories under responsibility.
  • 360 partnerships:
  • Organise regular in-store visits to gather business feedback
  • Work effectively with other departments in the Support Office to drive the business priorities
  • Organise regular meetings with Zone counterparts to update on Oceania business

  • Significant merchandising experience within luxury retail or a comparable premium brand.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong product vision and understanding of luxury consumer preferences.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Adaptable, resilient, and driven to achieve exceptional results.
